OUAB - The Ohio Union Activities Board

From the OUAB President

Mon March 1, 2010

It's finally March! Which means, St. Patrick's Day, March Madness, Winter quarter finals, Spring Quarter and most importantly- The Opening of the NEW Ohio Union!

So where to start?!

1. Make sure to attend the opening of the new building March 29th at Noon for the ribbon cutting ceremony. An event like this only happens every 50-75 years, so be part of this historic and ground breaking moment. Also there will be fun and games, inside and outside of the building all day!

2. Pick up your tickets for The Buckeyethon Benefit Concert Featuring Blake Shelton at the Information Desk. Come see the very first concert in the new building.

3. Ok so maybe country music isn't your thing, but how about Drake? Tickets for Drake will be available March 3rd, and the concert will take place in the Archie M Griffin Ballroom April 7th 2010.

4.Start unpacking your spring clothes, because you can never guess the weather in Ohio, it might be 32 degrees one day and 70 the next.

5. Studying for Winter Finals can be the cap to the Winter Blues, but don't make it! Remember to take at least 20 minutes for yourself every day. Take a study break and get coffee with a friend, you know you need the coffee so technically you are still being productive.

6.Ready for the Sweet 16? Get your friends together and create a March Madness tournament Bracket, loser has to do your laundry for a whole month.

7. Join Us on Twitter! Follow @OUAB on twitter and win some cool prizes.

8. Don't forget about St. Patrick's Day, its the Wednesday of Finals week, so celebrate being Irish, because on St. Patrick's Day everyone's Irish!

I most other places March is in like a Lion and out like a lamb, here at OSU we are roaring in like a Lion and out like a Buckeye. So shake off the snow and let's get ready for Spring together!
